What is CoAdvocate.ai?

CoAdvocate.ai is a permanent, secure communication address for separated and divorced parents, plus an AI companion that helps you respond to co-parent messages with clarity and composure. It's built on standard email — no app required on the other end.

Does the other parent need to install anything?

No. Your co-parent sends email to your CoAdvocate.ai address from whatever email client they already use. They don't need to sign up, install an app, or agree to anything. The only requirement is on your end.

How is my CoAdvocate.ai address different from a regular email?

Your address is permanent and never recycled — even if you close your account. It's purpose-built for co-parenting communication: every message is archived as a timestamped, legal-grade record, assessed for tone by the AI, and kept separate from your personal email. It's the address courts and attorneys can reference with confidence.

Is my communication private?

Your messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. We aim to work only with AI providers that don't use your content to train their general-purpose models. We don't sell your data, and we never send the content of your messages, your plan or your children's information to advertisers or analytics tools. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the Service — for AI features, Anthropic, OpenAI, Voyage AI, and AWS Textract; for hosting and billing, AWS and Stripe. If you allow it (or, in the United States, unless you decline), we also use Google Analytics to count visits and sign-ups, set up with advertising features turned off; you can change your choice any time under "Analytics preferences". Like any service, we may disclose data when required by law — for example, a valid subpoena or court order. Separately, by design we keep your private conversations with the AI companion out of your evidence export and don't surface them to your attorney through CoAdvocate.ai. Do you use analytics or tracking?

We use Google Analytics to measure our own site and app: which pages are visited and where sign-ups happen. Advertising features, advertising IDs and remarketing are turned off, and we never send message content, plan content, children's names or email addresses. In the United States, analytics on our website and web app runs unless you decline it or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Everywhere else, and always in our mobile app, we ask first and nothing is collected until you allow it. Change your mind any time: "Analytics preferences" in the website footer, Settings → Privacy & Data → Analytics preferences in the web app, or Settings → Privacy & Data → Usage analytics in the mobile app. Our marketing site also uses Plausible, which does not use cookies.

Can my attorney access my communication record?

Yes, with your permission. You can grant an attorney, mediator, or other professional scoped access to your CoAdvocate.ai record. That access is strictly limited to your data and can be revoked at any time.

What does "evidence-grade" mean?

It means the archive is timestamped and tamper-evident: within the app, neither you nor your co-parent can alter or delete a message once it's sent. If you ever need to demonstrate a pattern of behavior in a legal proceeding, the record is already organized and verifiable.

How does the AI companion work?

When a message arrives, the companion reads it for tone, urgency, and intent. It gives you a summary before you read the full message, so you can approach it with context. When you're ready to reply, it helps you draft a response that's calm and factual — you edit and approve everything before it's sent.

How long are companion conversations kept?

Your private conversations with the companion are automatically deleted after a window you choose — 48 hours to 7 days, with a 48-hour default. They're a space to process, not a record you keep. By design, we also keep them out of your evidence export and don't surface them to your attorney through CoAdvocate.ai — but they aren't legally privileged, and if a court compels it they could be discoverable.

How much does it cost?

Creating an account is free, with no card needed, and the free plan has no time limit. Premium is $14.99 a month or $149.99 a year (plus tax where applicable).
